It did for me since I have a short windshield. I put some rainx type stuff on the shield and it did great.

What kind of shield do you have? Most don't let you use Rainx. I've got a Clearview shield that they say I can use Rainx on, but I've always been afraid to try it.

taterdog, full face lid is great for rain. if you get one make sure it has ventilation especially if you wear glasses. Only thing worse than rain on the goggles is fog on the spec's behind a shield! Good anti fog rag is worth its weight in gold at that point. I find I have to keep sticking my head out from behind the fairing to blow the rain off the shield, cracks the wife up until I duck down in heavy rain and move her second windshield (me) out of the way, then she shuts up or gets a quick drink of water according to how hard its raining!

I do use a half shield on teh half helmets just for a little extra protection and it helps greatly when caught in rain unexpected. One thumb sized beetle to the right lens of the spec's at about 70 mph made that decision easy. Don't care how uncool it looks, can't ride the scoot if I am blind (or should I say more blind, let's just say I have to have the spec's to hit the bowl for that first of the morning relief).

Been able to avoid it so far, but always carry the gear just in case. My 1/2 helmet will be a problem, but I like the wind in my face... at least until December, then the full face is on.
