Has anyone used this part from HD? My wife has some long legs and she would like the rear floorboards lower. I found a part in the HD catalog last night that looks like it lowers it pretty good. It also gives you the option to raise it if needed. Is there an aftermarket part out there for this?
Thanks
Brian

I have the HD's. The HD's in addition to being able to mount in the lowest hole you can also move forward approximately 3 1/2" from center of the stock floorboard mount. I looked hard at the Kurys and learned that you must mount your floorboards in the center position and pegs don't lower below the floorboard. That left my wife (who like yours have long legs) with her knee above passenger seat level. Totally unacceptable for her. The whole idea was to give more leg room. The HD's did it along with relocating the tour pak back approx. 3".

Oh tell me about I almost did it. We ran in to a guy at a bike show he had the Kurys on his passenger floorboards and he let my wife try them. She looked like she had her knees up around her head. There was no why to adjust them below that point. They are great for women who have short legs but our wives don't fall into that category. It would have been like you said a 275.00 mistake. You will pay the same for the HD's and maybe a little more but you will get something out of it.

If your talking about these... Moving the Brds FWD WILL get in your way at least it did me???
I would think they would also as my legs sometimes hit the boards in the stock location.
Those are them. I was actually wondering if i would hit them or not. As it is now when i put my feet down i hit my wifes with the back of my leg. I might have to just adjust the way i stop. I still think i will try them to make her more comfortable.
