Default Cruise control

Well this is my first posting since registering with the forum. I just bought cruise control for my 2006 Street Glide and was wondering if the installation is something I could do myself? The description H-D gives makes it sound like it's a pretty simple procedure. And if it is something I can do, how difficult is it to remove the front side of the fairing? Thanks for you help.

It's very easy. Fairing comes off with 7 torx screws - no problem. I helped a friend install cruise in his bagger last year and it was fine. Get the service manual because you will need it for a couple steps as I recall

biggest issue you will have will be lifting tank from frame to run wires and cable and hookup to the injector body

The description from Harley states one does not have to remove the tank? So do I have to remove it, or just simply lift it to run the wires? Thanks for all the replys.
