I have the se performance slipons as well as the stage1 w/heavy breather.I want to go true dual especially for the heat issues but cant afford them at this point.My question is concerning the fulsac true dual conversion kit.Opinions please from those who have them.If you have them with se slipons it would be even better.I may try rinehart slipons later if i add the conversion kit.hope someone can help me out here.
Another reason i wont be able to do actual tru duals is the added cost of doing what ever needs to be done extra after you add tru duals.reprogram etc.
I have the fulsac on my RG and love it. I have B&E super flows with 2" baffles and I like the sound, same on RH and LH sides! Noise level good at idle then bark when you get on it. I have Ness A/C, stage one D/L and IED's
Changing over to any True Dual system will require you to change\up-date the ECM. Hoping you have a PCIII or V&H or other Fuel Management System you can make the changes and didn't waist your $$$ on a Dealer Download. Have heard nothing bad about the Fulsac Change over.
If you're thinking about Rhineheart Slip-ons they will be a lot quieter then there True-Duel Set-up
I have the Fullsac conversion and Hooker Tuned Flow slip-ons. More heat on the left side.
Hooker says DO NOT use the Harley ECM updates when using their pipes as they are still not rich enough. I guess if you want something done right, do it yourself.
I thought with the fulsac tru-dual coversion kit you dont have to do any of the reprogramng/alter to the ecm?
if you don't change the air cleaner you can probably get away with it. it is the lower rpm range that is the problem. The ecm can compensate at higher rpms, but at idle and below a certain rpm(approximately 2200?) you will need to richen it up a bit. i would atleast use a set of IED's with the true dual conversion and whatever mufflers you decide to use.
