If the true duals were any good, Harley would offer them in their catalog. There is a reason Harley uses the crossover pipe, and it ain't for looks.

Interestingly, every NASCAR car uses a crossover pipe.

Sound? Sucks compared to a bike with a good set of slip-ons. I almost have to think that most people go with them because they think the name sounds cool............TRUE DUALS........say it...........it does sound cool. The fact is the only thing they give you is a loss of low end torque. Now if sound and performance is what you are looking for, go to 2-1, like Harley did on the '09's.

...............and people who have made a $1,000 mistake are typically hesitant to admit it.

I went with V&H tru dual headers and a pair of SE slip ons....bad idea, it was a miss match, so I switched to V&H classic slip ons in part because they have a 4" diameter pipe instead of 3.5".
Deeper richer sound. everything has been working beautifully for over a year now.

I bought my bike with true dual Rinehart's and I love the performance and the sound, I would not change a thing. I don't worry too much what every one else has, I tend to get what I want and let the other guys worry about the rest of the ****.

Some of us went to duals to get rid of that hotter than hell pipe on the RH side which was carrying 70% of the exhaust . . . not just for the sound. I will admit that I don't miss any torque.

Just my opinion . . . which is almost as strong as yours.

Put V&H true dual big shots with fishtail tips on '06 RKC. It sounds truly amazing and they look great too. They have one continous shieled to give it a clean look all the way back. I have not noticed any power loss.
I will be getting it dyno'd next Saturday to see where they it is at. I have had V&H pipes in the past on different bikes and I think they are great. They are not badly priced and the RKC needs fishatails in my opinion.

I went with the Fullsac true dual conversion (www.fullsac.com) and added the Pro "R" hypercharger which is nothing more then a K&N air filter with a short viscosity stack (and less expensive then the "Big Sucker" by Ness). Made a HUGE difference in the sound and performance and am quite happy with the set up. I am certain some self proclaimed "experts" will debate this. But who cares, my bike runs and sounds great!

I had a set of T-Rex True Duals on my bike for about 9 months. IMHO, they were the nicest looking and best sounding pipes on the market PERIOD, that being said, they pulled too much low end tq away from the bike for my taste. The bike was gutless on the low end after the install (the same above 3K) so I pulled them back off and replaced them with a 2-1 system. The 2-1 brought back the tq (with a little extra kick) but I lost a lot in the looks and sound department. You will hear people say they don't affect tq but that is just wishful thinking!!
