Has anyone road a trike before? My wife wants to ride with me, she don't want me to ride her anymore LOL well just on the bike. She don't want a soft tail but my ultra is to heavy she's 5'6 130. So I opened my big mouth and say why you don't get the new tri glide? My main concern is how is the stability on those things. I road trike when I was a kid and I flipped my times, It was mainly operator stupidity.
I rode a trike just yesterday, and they don't compare to a two wheeler, but they are much better handling than a sidecar. These are stable and roadworthy, not like the old three wheelers we used to ride off road.
There is no reason that your wife can't ride any bike she wants. Lot of women her size ride dressers and if she gets the riders course and then does the "Ride Like a Pro IV" video and pratices she can do just fine.
I have become convienced that the Street Glide with the 1" lower rear and good center of gravity is almost the ideal woman's bike.
Just something to think about. My wife went from a Lowrider to a Heritage, and was never completely satisfied until she got the StreetGlide.
The Loan Officer wanted to ride her own. Ultimately we had an 01 EGC converted in Jan 05. She has put over 20K on it now. Miles per year may be a big thing for many, but as always, Your Mileage May Vary.
A relatively new Organization has been created, especially for Trikes. http://TRI.org
Mostly Wingers, but they welcome all. A bi monthly periodical RE: Trikes, comes with the membership.
