Joe, I'm thinking of going the opposite. have a road king thinking of going to a roadglide. why did ya change? I haven't ridden a roadglide yet but i have owned an e glide.

If I could only choose one.... I'd go nuts! My first was a Road King, now a Road Glide. I really like the Road Glide, but really miss my Road King. Wonderful bikes, both of them - eager to see pics of your King!
Have both, 74,000 miles on the King. Mostly ride the Glide, at my age, love the comfort.
King is 4 sale in classified forum, if anyone is interested. $7,500. Bike is clean as they come.
It seems the RK is the bike folks most often trade back for. I've read more "had a Ultra/Road Glide/Street Glide etc etc. for a year now but still miss my RK." When I first started looking at baggers, the Classic was always the one that caught my eye and still does.
I had a 99 Ultra and loved it. Just one knock against it, I never got over that carlike feeling that you get with the big instrumented dash, and all that plastic in front. I also didn't like having the fairing block my ability to scan down low when rolling to a stop.
When I sold the Ultra and got my RK I really enjoyed loosing that closed in car feeling. As nice as the EGlides and RG's are there is no way I would go back. I feel more "in it" when on the RK than the Ultra.
My first Harley was an '03 RKC. Had to part from her for reasons out of my control. Having a child with Cancer puts a strain on every aspect of your life.
I was able to get back on two wheels last year & bought the RG. Great bike, but was never really in love with the shark nose fairing especially from the front. I am nuts about the look of the RK. The huge head light, & highway lights screams "Harley". I also love a RK with ape hangers! Mine are going on this week. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

P.S. Taylor will be eighteen in Nov.
She starts her Sr. yr. in H.S. tomorrow.
Has been Cancer free for almost 5 yrs. now!
PTL!
Cool...congrats on the King, but more importantly, congrats on your family's battle against cancer. My you both enjoy some quality father/daughter time on that new RK.
