My wife is taking delivery of her 08 SG within the next two weeks (can't wait...I don't know who's more excited). Anyway, she has mentioned that she would like to get a fender tip for the front. Not a lighted one, just something decorative. I can't seem to find anything for the FLHX. Judging by the catalogue, anything for the FLH line will not fit the FLHX. Anybody know of anything?
I've always wanted a fender tip for mine too and have not been able to find one. But if you compare the fenders, just looking, all the FLH fenders look the same to me. I don't see why one of the HD fender tips for another model wouldn't fit. I just haven't found one I like enough to try.
Any FLH finder tip should work fine. The fenders are the same, but I'm with StGlide07. A lot of the appeal of the Streetglide is the clean lines and uncluttered look, including the fenders.
You can put just about any tip you want on it if you're sure you want to keep it...cause as mentioned you will need to drill. If she wants it...go for it. I've considered a gloss black back skirt but doubt I do it.
