Some nice lookin' scoots here!
Have a chance to pick up a '90 RoadGlide for a real good price...bad motor and rough paint. Been rode hard and put up wet...too often!
I'm not into this 'black-out' thing...looks good...just not my thing.
This thread has got me thinking that maybe some powder coated color...flat and shiny might look ok. Seems everyone is going with black.
Haven't made a decision on the purchase yet...just thinking out loud, I guess.
Any thoughts?
To each his own I say but before you put out your hard earned cash, jest know what you're getting yourself into. It can get very pricey and very fast and you'd possibly end up putting out more than it's worth. As for the color powder coating, a ton of options and possibilities out there.

I'm retired, so have lots of time to mess around with a 'project'.
I'm also a pretty good wrench turner.
As far as cost, it wouldn't have to be finished overnight.
Just something to keep me out of the taverns.
This wouldn't be my 'first project' by far.
Have 'built' a couple of cars and a 4x4 Bronco.
Just when I had finally made up my mind between vivid and denim, for the '10 Street Glide I will be buying in the next week, I see yours!! Incredible job man, looks friggin awesome.
I was debating between denim w/chrome, or vivid & blacked out and was all set to buy vivid.....now I see yours....
....I think it may have just set me back a couple of days so I can decide which route I want to go. My only concern is the long term durability of the denim (wear spots, etc.)
