Getting a Black UC, thinking that I should get the protection for the paint, are there any other kits that do the sam? How did you guys make out with his kits do they hold up? How was install? Kind of miss his antics.
I never dealt with Pro Finish, but I have some experience with the #M protective film that he sells. I can tell you that it is a VERY difficult install over any surface that isn't dead flat. I bought a roll of the material on Ebay and have placed it over the rear fender under the seat and on the front of my saddlebags. I tried to put it on a few areas that have compound curves and it was a disaster. I'm sure a pro could do the install, but i couldn't get it flat without wrinkles or bubbles. On the areas where you can get it installed correctly it does a great job and is virtually invisible. The edges may pick up some white residue when you wax the bike, but that's about it.

He's got a new product out that a bit clearer and a whole lot easier to install. Give him a call 925-200-8556, I'm one of his installers Mark (and I haven't been BANNED...yet)

I have some of his product on the tops and front's of my saddlebags and am extremely happy with how it's holding up. Its been quite a few months and they look as good as the day they were put on. I thought they were extremely hard to detect before, I can imagine how the new product is. good info to know for those who are thinking about using this stuff.
VentureShield saddle bag set from Sticker City is $34.95. P/N BPHD001T_4. The Army uses the same stuff on helicopter rotor blades in the sandbox. I had a set on my 2001 RK for several years before i traded it for an 09. http://www.stickercity.com.
I wasted $200 on a product that I had problems installing, but the few pieces that I did install looked so bad, I took them off. Great idea, but didn't turn out good for me.
No, I didn't call for help. It wouldn't have made it look much better IMO.
Ironhead3fan... sorry you had issues. A call would've helped you a great deal. Mike's a pretty fair guy, I'm sure he'd do something for you.
As far as film quality goes, and the # of years in the business. Venture is a pretty clear film and easy to install. However, it tends to lose gloss over time and turns cloudy in about a year if it's not heat-gunned and waxed daily.
The new film is just out and is AWESOME... He's over at VTF
