Odd cruise / 6th gear light issue

STILL having the issue. I'm not impressed with Capitol Harley in Lansing, MI.
I put my own heated grip on and they are doing their BEST to prove it was me. The ONLY thing I did wrong was broke a tab on the throttle connector inside the fairing and he said that was the cause. Well guess what - they replaced that today along with the cruise switch in the handlebar housing and still not fixed. The service guy didn't know it they tech pulled codes yet. Well, I'm down to suggesting the clutch switch or maybe even a new speedo to try. His response was their techs were MMI certified. Ok, big friggen deal! Common sense solves most of these issues IMO.
Oh well - does anyone have any other suggestions? My next move is to bump up the urgency to the service manager and the owner (I happen to know the owner). Problem is that I'm leave on the 7th (next weekend) for a 5300 mile trip out west. I'm nervous as hell...
