Oil light coming on, help!!

Oil light coming on, help!!

I was riding my '06 RKC home Friday night and when I would pull up to a stop sign, the engine oil light would flicker. As I rode along, it started to flicker at about all lower speeds. I bought the bike a month ago and it had 750 original miles on it. I rode it up to 1,050 and changed all the fluids, putting Screamin Eagle Syn. and a new filter. I went to Sturgis and back and now have 2,400 miles on it. Of course I checked the oil immediately and it was right between the 2 marks and looked and smelled fine. I rode the bike Sunday and had no oil light at all. Any ideas, potential problems or just a gremlin?

On my EVO there was an isue with the screen and spring under the sender being dirty. i would start by pulling the sender and clean it and see if there is a spring and screen under it to clean as well.

how hot the bike gets with also make a change. hot = thin oil...

Mike flht does that also. Change to straight 60 weight oil in the summer time should stop the problem. Most likely the oil is very hot and very thin and won't pump at low rpm's.
