Default Tire size, 3.5 vs. 4.5???

Need some info on running a 3.5 vs. 4.5. Will there be a huge difference in handling??? Found a good price on some 3.5 rims but have been told that the ride will be not be as good as running a 4.5 . Thoughts on this subject?? Any comments would be helpful, I have always run stock wheels, but looking to spruce up the SG with some black powder coated blades

I have 18 X 4.5 in the back and 21 X 3.5 in the front and the ride much better then the stock set-up

I'm running 18 x 4.25 rear with a 150/70/18 Avon and 18 x 3.5 front with 130/70/18 Avon on a SG and it handles well.

On my Fatboy I am running 3.5s front and rear and it also handles well.

The 3.5s front and rear should be fine on your bike.

I think the difference in handling is going to come from changing the Dunlop tires to Metzeler or Avon.

I have 3.5x18 on both front and rear and actually i have heard that the ride is better with the 3.5 as compared to 4.25 / 4.50
