Default Pipes

Greetings! I have an '08 Electra Glide Classic with stock pipes on it. I'm not happy with the way it sounds. I want more rumble and a louder sound. I don't want to have to go through a re-map and was wondering if anyone could suggest a set of slip on mufflers that would give me a better sound without re-mapping? Thanks!

I had Super Trapp SE's on my 07 EGC. Bike ran great and sounded great with the slip ons installed. No other mods were done to the bike. The Super Trapp SE's have several endcaps to choose from to make your own look which is nice.

Any slip on that makes more sound will benefit from a fueler of some sort. At least the Night Rider O2 sensor thing-a-ma-bobs. That's the cheapest way to go. I'm most fond of the sound of the D&D fat cat! Nice but $$$.. Good luck buddy!

I would look at rush pipes...they have multiple baffles so that you can make it as loud as you want. Quality is great, I don't think you can find a better pipe for the price. If you go to www.rushracingproducts.com you can hear sound bits of the different baffles. That being said I run rineharts on my RKC- great rumble, but almost twice the price.

If all you are doing is slip ons, you should be able to do nothing and not have a problem. Now, if you add a hi-flow air cleaner with those slip ons, I would go with something, your personal choice after your research, maybe NightRider product, Fuel Pak, PCIII, T-Max, SERT, there are a lot of options. Even if you just do the pipes, an IED from NightRider can't hurt and you will probably be happy with it. Haven't tried them myself yet, but lots of happy people have them.

I just put a set of Rush 2.0 on my RKC. This past Sunday I did 300 miles with them. Nice low rumble, not too loud or "tinny". They look good too. Nice chrome. I've been told that you can go up to Rush 2.0's without remapping. If you go with the 2.5s you allegedly need to remap.

I suggest the Vance & Hines Oval Slip ons. Great sound, quality and looks. No need for fuel management if this is all you do.
