have a 08 roadking, something chattering when clutch in friction zone (walking bike into garage). thought it was a clutch or primary issue, i had it back to the dealer a couple of times, they say no issues. dealer indicated it might be the gear in the tranny and there is nothing they can do about the noise. i'm starting to think it is the isd system..sound like metal on metal. any advice or idea on what it could be.

 

I have a 2008 SG and found the solution, I have about 8,000 miles and mine had been doing this since about 5,000 miles. I took it to my dealer on monday and they found half the friction discs were dry, so they took all the primary and related stuff apart, soaked the discs and reassembled it. They said the cause was the clutch adjustment at the motor because I do my own maintenance-LOL! But now it's fixed. Hope that helps.
