Just a few questions for anyone using the E-Z brake pedal or E-Z shift. Does it take a while to get used to the new position of the shifter and brake??? Does the configuration make that much of a difference???
No it doesn't take long to get used to it, and yes in my opinoin it makes a big difference.
I don't think they make an ez brake for the 08-09 yet, they are different than 07.

I have size 14 feet, so the EZ shifters are a real joy. I can finally place my foot on the floorboard without them being at an angle. It took me no time at all to get used to them.
The brake is a different story. At first it felt like I wasn't pushing down hard enough, but that went away after a couple of rides. I still think the brake pedal should be moved further away from the center of the bike. My foot strikes only the outer part of the pad. But the stock pedal is the same, so it's not Kury's fault.
I've got the E-Z brake and shifter on my 08 FLHX and love them.It takes no time to get use to them but you'll wonder why H-D didn't put them on from the factory.
Where's the little animated icons, that say clever things like....."THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PHOTOS!!" So an E-Z-Brake you say? What is that exactly?
i cant say about the shifter but the e-z brake is frigen' sweet its more along the line of your cars brake you can just slide your foot on to it instead of haveing to step on it. ( if that makes any sence) with a set of SOOS"S extenders and E-Z's you will get full use of the boards even with clown feet like mine
