thinking of a better horn but wold like to install it exactly where existing horn is. will it fit under the cow bell and not be noticed or what? anyone have a pic of theirs?
I have one on my 02 Ultra Classic. It works well and will fit under the cow bell. You have to pull the pump off the horn and cut off the plastic that holds the pump onto the horn. You then put the pump into the open area under the front of the seat. I put some insulation around mine to keep the metal pump from beating up the frame. You then run a piece of hose from the pump to the horn in the cow bell. On my installation you can see the black hose running into the back of the cow bell but that is the only difference between the look of my bike and a stock horn. This is a great horn for the money, it just takes a little fooling around to get it mounted and wired. I read of a guy that used the included bolt to mount his and it fell off so make sure you have a secure installation.
I just got this horn last month. It puts the stock one to shame. Just ugly as hell. I'll try the mod to fit it under the cover and let you know hoe it goes.
