I have one of those on my bike "Halfmoon Wings". Love it. I have the 10" light smoke version. I've rode over 4000 miles with it. One of their advertised features is that the reduced wind lets you hear the radio better and it actually does. Also makes a noticeable difference in wind/radio for the passenger.
Would I buy one again? Yes. But I might go with an 11" next time.
Got it on eBay. The seller didn't answer my email question about a taller one. This one is 8" tall and I asked about a 10" one but no answer and he didn't list a 10" one in the "wide" configuration, which is what I wanted. He has taller ones that are the regular width as well as a few other options. The shipping was pronto and I would buy from the guy again. It arrives with the sticky paper still attached and was pristine.
The Nnuvi is NICE and only like 300 bucks or so (I am not sure exactly because it was a gift from Mrs O'Lady's mom...;^))
As far as performance onthe shield, as Isaid, I love that my hands get no wind now. There is some buffeting on my head unless I slouch. I am 6'1" and ride a stock seat. Haven't ridden Mrs O'Lady yet with the new shield, but there will be a little more wind at helmet height. I would purchase a 10" wide windshield from the guy if he made one.
Go here they list a 10" on their site, you also can not beat the customer service.http://www.customflhtwindshields.net/
You can buy 2 shields from them for about the same money as a stock shield from Harley.
That really seems to change the look of the bike. For me it would take some getting used to but the price and the ability to better hear the radio are nice bennies.
Every one I let ride my bike has ordered a shield the next day, because they like mine so much.
The cool thing is that they really want the business, and are very thankful for it.
I got one too a month or so ago myself. It's EVERYTHING they said it was and more!! It took probably 5 to 10 minutes to install. The radio/CD sound DEFINITLY improved. It's GREAT, can't say enough good things about it.
