Scratched Pannier Lids Aargh!!

I can feel your pain! My left saddlebag feel over once and scratched the front side towards the rear pretty bad. Too deep to polish out, so I used some touch up paint to hide the white plastic that was showing through. It doesn't show unless you get down low and look at it close.
I would look at the leather covers for your lids, and save up to have the lids repainted. Maybe a little art work too!

Did the exact same thing on a month old bike!
Hurt for a while. I'm living with it for now. Figured I got the first scratch out of
the way at least. I'll end up buying a lid someday?
