I have an adjustable windshield on my 04 RKC and when I use it I have noticed at different heights that I get buffeting and it is usually at the lower settings. I set it so that I can just see over it and it is usually fine.

I have Had the same problem on three bikes now.
On my softail I took off the windshield it was better in the wind
I fought my Ultra It made me a nut case every time I got on the hwy.
Now I have an 08 SG and It was the same story then I remembered one day that the best ride I had on my Ultra was when I first got it.
So I bought a cheap 10" on e-bay and what a differance
I can hear the radio, I don't get sick.
I am short and I am looking through but I guess I will get over that.
I first tried an 8" smoked and it was better than my stock 5" but lookig 1/2 over and 1/2 through was like bifocals at night.
So my recomendation would be to go a bit taller you can allways cut it down later.
Or do like I did and get a cheap e-bay till you find the one you like then get a good one in that size

I still had the same problem when I wore a size small helmet (to small) and went to a medium. So I don’t think that’s it… I also used to wear a different full faced helmet and had the same result.

I think I will take the chrome lowers back since all they did for me was allow me to strip the threads out of my detachable windshield mounts (not the thread on the bolt the thread on the fork… so now get to fix that problem) Hope I can salvage…

Good advice… all I can say is I am glad I am not alone with this issue. After I get the fork thread fixed I will see what I can find.

I may just do that, the only problem is I like to ride into and through October (or at least until the first road salting for ice) and the temps drop in the AM and PM but if I can keep the wind off a little I can ride when its down to 45 F, with out its hard to ride at 55 F for any distance. We are approaching the fall and this week has already dropped to the mid 60’s to low 70’s, it will warm back up a couple times and I will take full advantage of that!

Went for a ride last night with no W/S it was chilly but I had no wind buffeting

Cool

This is the seat I have ordered, when I am not using a W/S this back rest should come in handy, anyone use mustang seats? I have read allot of reviews and they all seem positive for the most part.

Ha ha, I was all confused. I was reading your comments about not liking the straps on the RK Classic saddlebags, then looking at your sig pic wondering what the heck is going on. I thought either you were confused or I was reading everything wrong! lol...

No Sarge, fact is it took me so damn long to figure out how to post this sig pic that I am reluctant to attempt an update. I fumbled around for what seems like hours and accidently clicked the right things by trying everything. I have little hope of being able to duplicate what I did to get the present sig to show up, but I will take a fresh picture and when I have a few hours to spare I will try and update my sig.
