When Doc tuned my bagger, I asked him that question. He said just replacing the filter element would not require anything by way of tuning.

Thanks Bluzmn59, I think my SE A/C will be fine for now since nothing is wrong with it, I just didn't know if I was missing out on something!

Just went today on my lunch break and ordered one from Autozone. Cost $54.99. They don't have them in their system yet but they still can order them direct. The manager I was dealing with today called K&N direct and they have plenty in stock.

If I was to change mine out from the se a/c would I have to do anything other than putting in the new k&n filter?

I agree. There may be a VERY slight performance gain by changing out the OEM SE filter element to a K&N replacement, but not enough that you should throw away a perfectly good SE filter before it has lived its useful life. Once the SE one gets dirty.....say after about 5-10K miles then sh!tcan it and install the K&N.
