Default K&N '08 Screamin' Eagle replacement filter!!!
Here it is folks. Finally!!!! K&N has a replacement filter for the '08 SE backplate. Only took them a freakin' year.

Part number is........

HD-0818

Run, don't walk to order one and replace that crappy white filter.

I wonder if the additional air flow from the K&N vs the Screamin Eagle filter would require a reflash?

If you want to get them from an HD dealer through Drag Specialties it will be
pn#1011-1410 for $69.95 and is expected at Drag beginning 09-03-08. We just ordered a couple for our shop

Maybe I'm missing out on something, is there a reason to switch from SE to K&N? Just wanting to know because I have SE A/C on mine and just wanting it I should be changing as well!

K&N much better flowing filter, easier to clean, longer lasting.

Don't you have to oil the K&N filter after cleaning it, as the SE filter you don't?

The K&N doesn't have to be replaced when your breather pukes some oil mist into your filter and starts to clog it up.

Personally I wouldn't change from the SE filter to the K&N until the SE gets dirty, then instead of cleaning it just throw it out and put a K&N in.
