I had a similiar deal happen to me but also found out I was a raging diebetic, that was ten months ago,I have lost 135 lbs,I now weigh 165 lbs,now they are telling me I'm too lean and need to gain weight,my body fat is 7%.I told them to make up their minds because I feel like I'm 21 again, also my male organ gained 4 inches!!True thing guys.Lots of PERKS to being thin.To top it off my bikes handle better and are alot quicker with no extra mods.
Myself and another rider friend had suspisious tread mill results before we left for Sturgis. Both of us put off getting further examinations till we got home (priorities). My second exam showed I would be low risk for my age (61) but the other dude was on borrowed time, had a triple done Tuesday of this week. Nothing to mess with. Glad you are doing well!
Glad you are OK man, I know its hard to make that 911 call, but you made the right choice, we have a saying in the ER, Time is Heart Muscle, and its very true. The sooner you open up those lesions and stent the vessels the better. Now comes the tough part, do your cardiac rehab and try to make any changes your doc reccomends. You can do it!
Glad to hear you are on the mend. If it's any consolation, my father was EXTREMELY healthy and fit up to 65 years old.
Between 65 and 75 it seemed like he aged 30 years. He was barely able to do anything when they discovered without him actually having a heart attack at age 75 he had major blockage. Stints didn't work for him, so it was a 5-way bypass. That was in January, by spring he was acting like he was 60 again. He was happy and healthy and no worries at all the next five years. He died very quickly just before his 80th birthday from an unrelated issue. I think his ticker would've held on for many years to come.
He did the cardio therapy EXACTLY like the doc told him to and bounced back real quick. You can too! Take care of yourself.
