Hi all, new to this forum but not to Harleys.
Just wondering who makes a decent "true dual" set up to replace this wanna- be dual exhaust. I would suppose it would also have to be reprogramed or a race tuner put in along with a K&N ac?
Will I loose low end going true duals? There must be a reason they made a screwy exhaust like this other than spending more bucks on a real setup.
I only average 43mpg on a trip, a far cry from the advertized 54.
Other than that I love the bike, the crimson red is awsome in the sunlight and the ride and stereo are bar none!
Thanks for any input........
V&H and Rinehart make good ones, along with some others. You would need a fuel management setup after going to duals and a K&N Stage 1 cleaner. Technically you would lose a little doing a dual setup but not that noticeable. The best exhaust for performance is 2-1 then followed by the stock scavenging exhaust then duals. With a good tune you will be fine.
