Over here in the Lake Charles area we're watching it pretty close. Rita kicked our butts, it took over a year to recover. We'll load up and head out but I sure hope this thing dies or at least drops to a Cat 1 before land fall

Anyone from the Gulf Coast Area? Will you be staying or Leaving for the Storm? We will know more this weekend what it will do, I am out of the New Orleans area Myself and keeping a watch on it. They are issuing Evacuations now for certain areas. We do not need another one like Katrina.
I don't live in that area, but I work there. Fortunately I am at home in Alabama for this one. I know many peple all around South Louisiana. I am keeping all of them, including you in my prayers that it will turn and go elsewhere. Stay Safe
I already have made an offer to some old friends to come stay at my place. They were here several weeks after Katrina and their mail from FEMA was being delivered to my house for many months after they left.
We had a good time then (in spite of the unfortunate circumstances) and if and when they show up, we'll have some more good times.
