I'm watching the videos of I10 out of Beaumont..........Nothing eastbound, everything is westbound. Total lockup. I went out to the highway from my place (SH146) It's still tight. Don't know what to say about it. Desperation, I guess, the people trying to get the hell out of the way. We'll get out in the morning to see what's happening. This is definately interesting! Anybody go to Belle Rose for the races?

It made landfall a little while ago. Should be at my place in a few hours. Right now we're just getting light wind & rain.
It was cat 2 at landfall so I don't think we'll get too much of a beating.

Oh Yea, Made it through another one on the boat. Rode this one out in Houma. 100mph+ winds. This will make number 11 on a boat. 6 in the Gulf of Mexico, 2 in the Atlantic, 2 in the ICW, and 1 in the Mississippi river in Baton Rouge. It's not just a job. Houma just got some phone service tonight and i see a few lights on and thinks look decent. Time to get underway. Good luck to all affected by this storm.
