this crank shaft run-out has got me pretty concerned just got the bike that ive wanted for most of my life and all you hear about is how the cranks are failing damn it .... ive called hd customer service trying to find out info on it and all the bast$%d's do is deny that its happening ..well my best buddy in michigain e-mailed me today and said im not come up this weekend to see your new bike (07 rkc vivid black) because my 07 rkc just puked the crank and the oil pump at 4300 miles ... he was going to come up and we where going to ride togrther till his bike took the big ****
Not much you can do about it, unless you are willing to tare into the motor, and measure the run out.
I say ride, and don't worry about what MIGHT happen.
If it does go bad, just go to Darkhorse and get a welded and trued crank. Then go to HEadquater and get the 113" or 120". Then you will have the bike that Harley should have built in the first place!
