Buddies Ultra has a wheeldock on it. I get jealouse when he puts it the center stand and sits back on his bike... today we rode a ferry accross the James River and he was just chilling... then proceded to ride off the stand. Nice I thought, I am gonna have to get one.
Then we stopped to eat and parked in a dirt/gravel parking area... He put it up on stand and got off. Was messing around in his tour pack and over it went to the left side, with no side stand down, right into the front end of a van! Lucky me it went left. I think lucky him, cause though he left his contact info, the van wasn't registered etc...
Bottom line is the centerstand is great, but I wouldn't use it on any ground considered questionable.
