Talking Sweeeeeeeet!

Several of you have followed my threads over the past few months as I've given my scoot a makeover. Got it finished about 5 weeks ago and took it for it's first journey over 75 miles, yesterday. Just wanted to give a small report of a few things.

First, the RaceTech fork kit is one sweet, smooth ride. Glides over bumps.
Progressive shocks, 11.5" 440's...I thought I was riding on air!
Alloy Art's wobble fix...bike is nice & tight. I really like the feel of everything feeling like one.
PM F/R calipers...definitely some STRONG binders! You squeeze these..you stop!
RSD handlebars..comfy fit.
PM grips & Alloy Art riser bushings...virtually no vibration.
Doherty PowerPacc AC...have yet to see blow-by.

Have a couple minor things I want to try out.
The frontend is almost too soft. Will be dumping the 20wt fork oil and trying some 30wt out.
The 11.5" shocks scare me. I extended my bags and was thinking about dragging them all day. May bump those up to 12"

The bike ran awesome!
No bolts fell off or loosened up, and considering what all I did...I was sure 1 or 2 would.

I made a photo gallery if anyone wants to see pics.

Anyway, I was tickled ****less with how everything went yesterday. Rode about 300 miles, to Fall Creek Falls. Did some twisties at about 53mph, no bag draggin'.

About your front end being soft...I would dial up the preload on the emulators before trying such a heavy weight oil. I used race techs own synthetic fork lube in the 15W on my FLHT, and it was plenty firm with my fat *** on it. It sucks pulling it back apart to set the emulators I know, but once you've got em dialed in they offer a dream ride.

Blue,
I'm from Nashville. Live in Knoxville now.
Bought my scoot new from Bumpus there in the 'Boro.
I'll be heading down in a couple weeks on the scoot.

PM me if you'd like to meet up.
I'm gonna stop in Bumpus on my way.

SeaHag,
I cut my preload spacers at 5/8" above the tubes. Where did you go with yours?
I'll try increasing the emulators, too.
My scoot only bottoms out when going over speed bumps and things that make a sudden change. It's not bottoming out when I'm cruising and hit dips in the road.
