Default need a measurement...

Howdy,

I bought some fender emblems for my street glide that say "Street Glide" (go figure!) in the same cool script as some of the other touring bikes. This is the only flash I plan on putting on the front fender so, I need some help from you touring brothers and sisters.

Can some one please measure the distance from the corner of the fender (where it starts going down) to the start of their emblem as well as the height off the bottom edge?

I was going to do this myself, but I don't ride with too many Harley folk, and the dealer looked at me funny when I pulled out the tape measure, so I aborted that mission.

I 'preciate it!

I put the same emblems on my front fender.I didn't measure where to put it I just put them where I liked them. The hard part is getting both sides to match up.Here's a photo of mine:

Sodiee,

Thanks for the pic. That looks great! That is the look I'm going for, just a little flash on the fender, but still clean. I like your headlight ring too, is that the HD or Kury one?

The headlight ring is H-D.They are known not to fit very well but with a little work, you can get it looking decent.I also have the matching front blinker trim rings that I think looks good. You could also go the the H-D website and look at the Road King bikes to see where their emblems are.Good luck!

Pick the spot where you like them and then make a cardboard templet as a measuring gauge. You will then be able to put them in the exact spot on both sides.

I just held mine in position where I wanted them, then used masking tape to mark the spot across the bottom and on one end. Did one side, then measured its location so the other side would be the same.
