not to knock on you, but your poll is kind of skewed. guys with "stock, or stage 1 type mods" are generally not going to know what their crank runout is because the motor has never been opened up. even with .010-.015 runout, chances are the motor will run for a while without giving any indication it is fukced up inside.
my guess is there is a large number of guys who dont have any obvious issues but are creeping up on out of tolerance specs. not to worry though, HD will just increase the allowable runout and all will be well again...
i dont have a TC96, but my 05 TC95 has <.0015 runout.
At the 10k service they had to adjust my detachable backrest,,,really pissed me off,,, but then they test rode it and filled her up with fuel,, I'm OK now.

From what I've read/heard/seen so far, 2009 may be the first model year in the history of the MOCO that they haven't managed to design-in a defect, new "upgraded" system or QC issue that causes recurring problems and headaches for their customers.
I'm really hoping that this new trend catches on and continues! I'm in the market for a new ride and after researching the BMW and Goldwing threads, I was surprised to find that Harley is now producing the most trouble-free, well built and reliable bike out there (also the best lookin', but that's always been the case).
