Default Found the perfect handlebars for 08 RK

I know some here, including myself, have found the stock handlebars on the Roadking a bit of a stretch to comfortably ride multi hundred mile days.

I had the same complaints as you with the stock bars on my 08 RK. I went with HD reach bars. They come back 2 1/4 inches from the stock ones and are perfect for me. I too am 5'11".

Good to hear, Bill. Glad there are some other options out there as well.

Thanks for sharing that. A a recent/new Ultra owner I find the stock bars to narrow and uncomfortable. I'm gonna give them a season or 2 and if I still don't like them, then I am going looking for better bars

I put Heritage softtail bars on my RK Classic and am amazed by the difference. Before the change, I got a stabbing pain between my shoulder blades after about an hour of riding. Now, I can ride until my *** starts complaining.

I've also read here about the Heritage bars working well. Did you have to cut a notch on them for the electronic throttle? The stock Harley bars and the Sweepers come with the notch on the right grip side.

I'm also 5'11 & could use atleast another 2" of height & 2" of pullback. I've heard great things about the RK High bars, Heritage bars & the HD Reach bars. Part of me still wonders about the Street Slammers though...anyone know how much more the Street Slammers provide as far as height & pullback compared to the stock bars?

I could not find the measurements on the HD site for the street slammers, so I called my dealership. The parts guy call HD and got the numbers for the street slammers. They are 7.19" rise, 5.25" pullback (i think it was .25, I know it was 5.xx) and 30.xx tip to tip. I want them, but I am unsure of how comfortable they will be
