Just doing a u turn on a banked country road. thought I could make it. Hit an edge and some gravel at very slow speed and made the error of looking down. Look down, down you go. Dropped her at about 1 mph and it was slow mo. No chance to stop it just let it go, and get in position to lift her up again. Pride hurt but bike is not, a small scratch on the bar.

I've had 4 Ultras. As best I can recall, I have layed all of them over on their side more than once. No bragg just fact!

Been there done that like many others. Stopped at a gas station, put my foot down into a diesel spill and slide right over. I only had some small scraches on the roll bar. Won't do that again. But we all live and learn.....

I went from riding an ironhead for many years to a dyna with no problems. Fairly light bikes. I had my FLHTC for two days when I dropped it at a slow speed turn. I hit the front brake hard and it went down.Happened twice. I just had to get used to the weight and the the duel front brakes. I will probably do it again. Always makes me look like an idiot but nothing a beer or two won't cure.

Man i was kickin the crap out of myself for almost dumpin my 08 EGC last week.
Coming to a downhill stop with my girlfriend on the back, hit the front brake with the front of the bike pointing to the right and it took every ounce of energy i had to keep it from going over.

In my head i said **** cant stop it, here it goes and then with throttle wide open (somehow jammed my hand on the throttle while trying to keep her up) i managed to get it upright.

My friend on his new Kawasaki Concourse pulled along side me (and then wished he hadnt) said he saw it coming when i pulled the front brake. He was never so happy when i kept it up, otherwise it would have gone right into his bike.

Its the 2nd time its happened in 3 weeks, both times with the GF on the back. Poor riding habits and the extra weight almost put it on her side.

I know it'll happen eventually, but im in no rush.

Gotta watch that front brake...

+ several thousand others.
3 weeks after getting my 07 UC I was at gas station filling up and wife stepped over to area with three empty parking spaces away from pumps to have a smoke.
As I finished filling the tank and rode over to join her before we took off I pulled in the far left spot and turned right. Just as I was about to stop for whatever reason I have yet to figure out I reached up and just touched the front brake while wheel was full lock to the right and over she went.
Now I was still straddled across the bike and there I was with both hands on the right grip trying real hard to leave both my huevos on the asphalt and a couple of ruptured disc for good measure while the wife tried to find a spot that wouldn't scald her hands to try and help.
Barely touched over on the engine guard and front floorboard mount and didn't leave a scratch cause we were able to get her upright.
Now I'm 6'7 and 270 but at 47 the days when I could dead lift 550 plus are long gone, just glad I had one more in me, BUT IT WILL HAPPEN no matter who you are.

Yep, also been there done that. Came close twice before I figured out that front brake and turned wheel is bad! Then I laid her over when of all things, I forgot the kickstand. Had pulled into a parking space assuming that my wife would park in the same space behind me. When she motored up the lot, I put the stand up and repositioned the bike in teh space. Yep, forgot to put the stand back down As mentioned above, you got to love chrash bars and saddlebag guards -- no damage at all.

Of course my wife comes running over to help me pick the bike up but I was pretty embarrassed and before she got there, the RK was back up. Not probably the smartest thing physically I have ever done but on the bright side, she came up pretty easy.
