Surprised no one has come up with any ideas for me on the holes for the tach and speedo areas. Maybe able to get a gps in one of the areas but not sure. Still have another hole to contend with though. Maybe a backup camera. NOT

Open them up a bit and make them beer holders/coolers. That way you'll have two cold beers when you arrive at your destination.
i like the idea of you keeping the gauges on tank, cant wait to see finished product. RG speed and tach gauges are fork mounted, fuel, air temp, volt, oil pressure are guages in fairing, change out fuel for oil temp gauge, welcome to the other side

Cool stuff! Keep the pics coming. There have been a couple of these conversions tracked on the forum over the years, but seems like they started out as EG's.
I really like the gauges in the RG dash, but using the RK setup will make it just a little different than "all the rest". If you have access to someone that does body work, you could easily have them make you a bezel to flush mount a Zumo550 or something similar.
Hope you will provide information on how you are wiring the bike since the RK does not share the same main wiring harness found on the EG and RG.
As for the holes, perhaps some gauge cluster with some useful info might appeal to you, though I like PhilM's suggestion about a custom GPS installation.
tna, i was in your shoes! i was considering doing the rk to rg swap, then i just got a quadzilla. (i know, easy way out...) anyhoo, good luck to you!!! silly idea, but maybe a large, back-lit clock in one of the holes? just an idear...
and i gotta give a plug to north shore cycles in new hyde park, ny....stand up guys!
