Default 103 Final Tune

I did the build right before Milwaukee. I broke it in on the 850 mile ride up. 600 miles in the rain on our first day. Thats another story. I did an oil change while there. Put a total of 2100 miles on it. The bike was strong. I dropped the bike off for the final tune and a 5000 mile service when I got back. Changed to Amsoil. Below are the mods done on the build and a few done while at Milwaukee.

107 hp, 101 tq. The torqe reaches 100 at about 3000rpm and flat lines all the way to 6000rpm. It is an awsome tune and a blast to ride. You can roll on at 75mph in 6th and get all you want. I may get some pics this weekend and post my dyno sheet as well. The wife did not care for my bike too much before, but after I changed out the shield, she said it was awsome. It changed the whole dynamics and it may be what she gets when she gets ready to ride again.

SE Super Tuner
High Flow Heads
Manual Compression Releases
SE 258 Cams
D&D Fat Kat 2/1 With Quiet Baffle
Corbin Clasic Solo
Clock Werks 12" Shield

Dude, what was the 103" kit you used and please tell me more about the "headwork"?

I'm looking at doing these very same mods and need this info.

Thanks and glad you are pleased with it all.

It was all Screaming Eagle. If you want, I will give you a parts breakdown this weekend. E-mail me at joefindell@bellsouth.net and I will send you the info. It is not a 120 but it is STRONG and very usable throughout the whole rpm range.

you have maxed out the horsepower with the stock throttle body...if you want more umph above 4000rpm, get a horsepower incorporated 51mm

Congrats on the build, Monk--nice numbers; bet it's like a new bike.

Great results. I thought I read where HQ 500 cams performed better than the SE but I guess not. Who or what Heads are you using? What was the final cost?

My 08 Electra Glide Classic is in the shop now getting the 103 upgrade from the stock 96. I have a Se race tunner, SE air cleaner and Rush 2" baffels on it now and was getting 71.28 HP and 80 TQ. I am going with the SE 103 juggs and flat top piston and also 255 cams but staying with stock heads. What might I expect for dyno numbers? and what is the difference between the 255 cams and the 258 cams?

Thanks Hojo

I would like to know more about this build as well. I have the 103 kit installed, but am using the 255(?) cams and have no head work done or a tuner. If you could post some more info, that would be swell. This winter is going to be used to upgrade my sound system and I would like to upgrade the HP/TQ next winter. Thanks

FWIW: The SE Parts Catalog on HD's website provides dyno sheets on the myriad HD builds:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...SE_001_031.pdf

See pages 24 and 25.

Monk, is your build the High Output 103 shown at page 24? I ask because that one uses the SE 258 cams mentioned in your build specs.

And congrats to your tuner for getting a flat torque line with an SE build--none of the torque curves shown have what I would consider a flat torque line.
