Can I replace the stock headlight lamp with one of the high intensity lamps? 1993 bagger.

Yes, they actually pull less then the stocker.

Any particular make that performs better? Sylvania for example.

 

The Silverstars are a very good bulb. Don't know if you have a sealed beam in your 93 or not but if you don't you can get a new assm. pretty cheep from JC Whitney with a new halogen bulb. I'd switch it out to a Silverstar. Nice brite white light. You can get them almost anywhere.

 

When My Dad got his 05 Ultra I really liked the new style headlight. Riding bar to bar at night I could turn off my headlight and ride by his. Nice white bright beam. I felt like I could out ride the head light on my 96 and my first upgrade was to install a 05 headlight and matching pasing lamps. Big improvement in lighting and nothing special for bulbs, I am happy with what the new lens came with. It gives the front end a more modern look too.
