I had some damage on my fairing last year when my bike was new and I wanted it back right.I also wanted to make my bike a little different so while it was being repaired,I had my painter airbrush the H-D bar and shield on the front of my fairing. My total bill was around $400.00.That's alot of money but it was done right and I've been happy with it since.

I`m not following the `03 part. One of my bikes is a`91 and I would be very upset if I got a big chip and had to touch it up. "Not too early for a paint job". Are you a RUB by any chance?Maybe he should sell it in the Pennysaver for $500 bucks since it`s so old. It`s got a carb on it like a farm tractor. Personally I would get done professionally if there were any doubt`s. Toby

I love the anniversary black/silver combination with the Harley stripe graphics. It is part of the reason I bought the bike. This thing is barely broken in but had an unfortunate hit that takes away from the look of the front of the fairing. I don't want to have the whole thing repainted due to the striping (I would assume the cost would go up to get that right). I will try it myself and if I can't make it look good enough I can have that section handled by a pro. We have a couple really good shops in town that I could trust. I just don't want to part with the cash right now.

BTW. It does not have a carb (EFI) and the first owner loaded it up with all the anniversary bling. I just hope no one shows up with some dental floss and "liberates" the emblems

The carb was in reference to the bike being older in his eyes. I`ve an `04 with carb. A good shop should be able to blend that small of a chip in without repainting the whole fairing and it shouldn`t be a huge pricetag.Whichever way you decide to go,Good Luck,Toby
