A friend just picked up an 07 Ultra Classic which was imported into Canada from the USA. The speedo is in MPH and we of course have to be different and are KM/H up here.
His eyesight is not what it used to be and short of changing over the speedo gauge completely, what has everyone done about this (if you are in the same boat)?
I just recommended taking some model paint (very bright colour) and making a hash mark at the 50, 80, 100 km/h equivalents so he has some idea where he's at...
Hey cruise.. a buddy of mine also brought up a HD from the states. He has been riding it now for a couple of years and has not done a thing to the speedo. He knows the approx. values of KMH to MPH and just goes by that. he did not want to mark up the speedo and could not be bothered with the large expense of changing it. It is not a problem for him, basically he just goes with the traffic. BTW, how are things in Pickering, I am in Port Dover.
Hey Rafkin, things are good over here in Pickering. Nice area down there in Port Dover.
I tried to tell my friend just to leave the speedo alone but he's really set on marking it.
The pinstripe idea is not one I had thought of...time to go to Canadian Tire and have a look.
