Default Mounting tweeters question?

Can't decide if I should mount ARC tweeters recessed at left of speedo near top and right of tach near top, or surface mount them. If I recess mount them on the sides of the big gauges I noticed there is a re-enforcement rib on inside of inner fairing I would be cutting. Has anyboby mounted their tweeters there or is there a better place? I dont want to put them in place of the temp and oil pressure gauge so thats out. And I am keeping my stock mirrors so the mirror mount locations is out too. Any thoughts?

When I put a set of Polks in my RG, I lost the useless ambinet air temp gauge and the volt meter gauge and moved things around a bit gauge wise and the Polks fit like a glove.

I too, would be interested to see pics of anyone that modded, or cut holes in their inner fairing for tweeters, and if they are happy with the finished product.

I also hooked the air temp and volt meter gages. Moved the oil gage down so I could mount the tweeters in the top two gage holes. Came out nice and sounds good being slightly above and next to the woofers.
