Default Engine build ?

Im getting ready to do a engine build on my 04 Electra Glide. Im doing just a little 95" build. My question is as far as fuel mangement, Im lost on that. I am looking at the T-Max right now. I would like to know whats the difference between that and the SERT. I would like to know the good and the bad of each. Thanks........

T-Max has auto tune, Sert does not. If I had the Delphi FI system, I would def use the auto tune.

When I had my 04 Electra Glide I did a 95" economical build and was very happy with it. I used HD SE flattops, Big Boyz ported the heads to 9.5:1 compression, Andrews 26g cams and ran with a PCIII.

A SERT you load a base map and then dial it in to what your specific needs are either playing with it or on a dyno. You are still running a open loop system so it wont adjust the tune as precisely as a closed loop system can. T Max works sorta the same way. You down load your base map and run the motorcycle and it will dial its self in with the auto tune. Some maps as with all tuners have a bit to be desired and some are super close. If you have even a little knowledge of fuel ratios and ignition timing, it is super easy to tweak it to work perfectly and with the wide band O2s and built in barometer it will maintain perfect AFs all the time.

Did a web search and doesn't look like any on the cheep. Guess you will need to contact Zippers. Unless someone has one for sale? Don't forget the 45* O2 bongs.

It'll "ride" & run better with a properly tuned SERT. If you can't find a competent dyno tuner, get yourself a TwinScan II+. It captures data on spark knock and AFR (via daul wideband O2 sensors) and gives you the correction factors to tweak the VE & timing tables.

Been there, done it both ways.... there is a BIG difference ~ I don;t care what any of the propaganda sayes.

Bart (Shooter64) can also hook ya up with a TwinScan II+.

HD does a good job with their factory eng. reman program and can do the 1550 upgrade on the injected engs.
