Default '08 Roadglide

Good morning everyone,
Think I'm going to trade my '07 Ultra for an '08 Roadglide (08 because the dealers I've talked to will deal a little on an 08) and I was wondering how you 08 owners like that model year. Spent quite a little money on the 07 to calm the heat/engine/trans issues etc and wondered if I will have to do the same on the 08. Com'on 08 owners, tell me how you really feel. 09 owners, are these issues still there or did the new exhaust, frame etc fix?
Thanks in advance for the feedback.

If you are going to make the jump go to the 09. Really nice changes and and the money difference will not be that great over the 08. I love my new 09 SG. My 06 was a great bike too. I would not personally exchange an 07 for an 08 (we have a 07 RKC ) as other than going up to the 6 gal tank that bikes are pretty much the same. Just my .02 tho.

Man, if you're going to take the beating and get rid of your 07, there's no way I wouldn't get the 09. The changes make it much more desirable, and two weeks after you get the 08, and saved a couple a grand, you're going to wish you'd gotten the 09. Trust me on this one, and don't ask how I know. Years and years of doing things wrong, gives me some basis for occasionally doing something right! Good Luck either way, and let us know. There's an old saying that goes something like this. "The thrill of saving a little money on the initial purchase soon subsides once the newness wears off and the reality of what you could have had sets in".... Give her some thought.

Dude, which ever year you chose, dont get the RG. It's just too ugly and rides like a tater wagon.

If I were buying one now I would spring for the '09. The new chassis would be enough to compel me to get it. Plus it is a year model newer and resale may be easier with the newer styled frame.

Yes, the 08's still have the heat. The tranny seems fine with the IDS. I've not had an engine problems. I agree with everyone else, go with the 09. Lots of nice changes. Enjoy Roadglidin'. Ride safe.

I like my 08 and have had no problems. I guess because I don't get the real hot weather in New Hampshire I have not had a heat issue.
If you can steal an 08 for real short money I'd buy it, but if there is not much difference in price compared to the 09 then go with the 09.
