Thanks. Do you know if it draws as many people as the spring bike week?
No. There is really no crowd. You can ride into town and get a room nearly anywhere. I've been going to the fall rally, since before it was "the fall rally". It used to be the SC Hog rally 10+ years ago. The fall rally is great, lower rates, less people, better weather.................I'll be there Sunday to Sunday.
Who's all going? ...I hope I'm not the only one there..I'm Not going to fear the gas prices. On having a good time. I need this time to forget how bad the world is in. Are we all in or just me. Belly up to the bar boys and girls. Let's get this party started...I'll see at SBB. Burn that tire! woohoo...
Hey brother, Big Lou here, I will be attending as always. If you and others will be at SBB then set a day and time and we can meet at the OLD SBB for a beer and cigars. I retired from the Army this past June and I had have so much combat leave accumulated so I am good to go!
Suggestions of accomodations for couple and two doggies
This would be our first time to a sizable bike rally and first time to MB. Anybody have suggestion of a good place to stay? Found several pet-friendly listings on Google. We're not big into parties, mostly shopping and eating. Thanks for any ideas.
A bunch of us have gone for several years but based on what the Myrtle Beach City Council is saying we are not going to spend our money there. I can't see going someplace that has gone on the record that they don't want us there. I bet local LEO's set a record with tickets for loud pipes.
I'm riding to Charleston on Monday then riding up to Myrtle on Wednesday. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Old SBB is a good place to meet up. Someone just say when and I'm good to go.

I'll be there. There is a contact list being developed in the Southeast forum.
Don't sweat the new laws yet. They have to come up for a second reading and if passed (which they probably will) they will not take effect for 90 days.
Try and get a room outside MB so as to not give them any money.
Dispatch, they have not Killed the Rallys. (They've up'ed my Property Tax to study the problem!) If any of you have followed what's going on, since the County Council can't stop just the Atlantic Beach Crime Fest they're coming down on us (Harley riders) too. What goes on during Atlantic Beach Bike Fest is out of contol and has been for many years. Most business owners are Not complaining about the Harley Rallys but Some old Farts complain that the Harley rallies are Noisy (and they are) but people are Not held hostage in their homes like ABBF. As a property owner (and a Harley rider) I'd be happy as a Pig in Mud if they'd stop ABBF period.
Be aware the owner of SBB is saying he might have to let the new place go. It's costing an arm and leg for it to sit empty except for bike weeks. Don't know if you're know the owner of HB Spokes past away a couple of months ago but the business seems to be doing well.
hamnhog unless you know someone and can verify the motel I'd say come on down and then find a place to stay. Resturants... any thing you want. I'm more familure with the North-end but there's a good Thia resturant south of where 501 runs into Ocean Blvd. If you want reasonable Fresh seafood and you travel north to Calabash you have Ella's and the Sea Food Hut. The Sea Food Hut has a daily special (until 4:30) for less than $7.00 including tea.
Come on down it should be great weather. I'll be around somewhere on the North end for a week or so.
Enjoy, as this may be the last of Myrtle Beach Bike Days. You can thank that other group of bikers that come in after for this disaster. What a shame. It was great when I was there years ago, and I hear it's grown a ton since. I've got a good friend that lives there, and it's all about getting rid of the other group. The locals love the HD crowd, but they can't shut one down without the other. Threats of legal entanglements have driven them to this radical position. They are just fed up with the other crowd, rowdiness, theft, walking out and not paying for food, and stealing anything that isn't locked down. I'm just reporting what my buddy tells me, and he lives there, and rides a Harley.
