Since I'm pretty sure I want a Glide, I got to thinking of which is better the SG or Classic? What is the difference besides the tour pack and wheels? Im thinking I want a different seat, larger windshield and passing lamps if I get an SG, all off which the Classic already has. And I believe it has a better (but not as good looking) seat too?
The bikes are basically the same except the street glide is an inch lowered, so your choice is what visually pleases you and I don't think anyone else can make that decision for you.
I'd be lost without the King Tour Pack on the back of my RG. I use it everytime I ride. Just couldn't imagine it not being there. You know if you throw out the weight rating on it, it will hold 2) 30 packs. I'd go with the Road Glide if it were me. LOL!
So bars, seat to floorboard height, etc are the same?
08HD, how hard is it to remove the tour pack, etc?
I haven't done this mod yet, but it is a matter of purchasing the quick detachable kit. Maybe I will do this sometime later. Once the kit is added it only takes a few minutes to disconnect and then of course you will need to put a solo seat or low profile seat on to complete the look!
Street Glide for looks and EG Classic for practicality.

White face gauges
Streamliner floorboards and passenger foot pegs
