A big +1 for Fuel Moto and their Jackpot mufflers. These are functionally identical to Rush, using the same baffle design, and have Fuel Moto's custom baffles installed. Fuel Moto's Power Package is IMO the best bang-for-the-buck value on the market. They are quieter than Rush with 1.75" baffles, and I consider them ideal for sound quality and volume. After all, I don't want my ears ringing after a long ride and would like to hear the stereo while riding.
Hey 100thRK, thank you for the Fuelmoto site. I will have to give them a call, as they don't list 09's yet on the website.
Mufflers that fit '08's and earlier will fit '09's. Call Jamie and ask him about the Jackpot and Rush, as he sells both. For performance and sound quality without being too loud, Jackpots (or Rush with FM's custom baffles installed) are winners.
The Power Package consists of a PCIII, Jackpot mufflers, and FM's AC kit.
2 inch Rush slipons on my 08 Ultra. The dealer recommended them. I like the sound but I will probably buy another set of baffles or two. Especially if I can find someone with some 2-1/2's I can listen to.
For those that may not know, or aren't sure, we're talking about the diameter of the center of the baffle.
The big advantage to the Rush pipes, (over the SE anyway), is the fact that the baffles are removeable and they make several sizes.
+1 for FuelMoto. Thats where I got my kit and everything worked great. I do think the 2.0 rush after break-in are a tad loud but thats not all bad. If i'd do it again id go 1.75" alittle easier on the pass.
I got a buddy thats got a 08 ultra had the 103kit and rush 2.25" installed and the dealer didnt richen the fuel mixture. This sounds like BS but its NOT. They let him take the bike that way for break-in. You can guess what happened to the pipes and slip-ons. they were burnt so bad it looked like 24kt gold plating. Just so happened after 20 people told him to take it back that the Rush Rep was there when he did. He finally listened to the Rush rep and got his down load and Rush replaced the muffers. Lucky Bast is all i can say. I told him the last thing i would worry about was the muffers after running the engine so lean. Live and learn.

Im going with the 2.25 baffles. I talked to a Rush rep. at OC bike week and Jamie at Fuelmoto and they both said they would not go any bigger than 2.25 because of the drop off in performance when you go bigger.
I have the 4" SE's and the rumble is just right. Not loud when going through my neighborhood. I had the Rush 1.75 on my Fatboy and were a little too loud and the rumble was higher pitched compared to the SE's.
Everybody's opinion is going to be different. Best thing to do is hear them both and then make up your mind.
Brihvac: I talked with him there too. He wouldn't give me a specific size baffle, in his response. He simply said they, (the delaer) was recommending the 2 inch and had that free install promo going on.
He told me that on a "stock" motor, meaning no cams, big bore, etc.. That he would not go any larger than 2.25". I talked with Fuelmoto and they said the same thing. The SG they had there had 2" baffles. It sounded ok, but not loud enough for my taste. Thats why Im going with the 2.25's
Thanks for the replies gang! I went by the dealer and listened to the Rush with 2" sounded good but the dealer suggested the 1.75 and said they would be a little quieter and would be much easier to tune when the time comes. I got the 1.75 and will wait on the a/c and fuel set up at the 1000 mile change.
