Keeping It Charged
I had done a ride to Virginia Beach and when I got home I tried to connect a battery tender to my bike because I was going to let it sit for a while. When I connected my battery tender trickle charger to the pigtail on my '08 Electra Glide Classic the light on the charger started flashing red. According to the charger this means that it isn't charging. I switched battery tenders and the new one did the same thing. It worked before the trip. Unfortunately I am not very good at wrenching. Any suggestions for me to try? Thanks!!
check the leads to the battery. If they are still connected check the fuse on the + lead.
If you've tried a second battery tender, it has to be that one of the leads to the battery for the fuse has gone bad.
All connections should be easy to see under the seat.
