HD makes a replacment kit for around $130.00. Very easy to do. I just did mine and i like the look without them. The wife likes them gone also since they are not hitting the back of her leg!
when I got bike the owner had the H D bag supports on it I got the bag guards from
him and put them right away I droped the bike at about 3 miles per hour the next day
no damage at all I have the bag supports laying around somewhere

Leon I would be interested in aquiring them from you if you don't need too much for them.

PS: Thanks all for your tips & responses.
I hate the way they looked on my bike, plus when my kids ride with me they always got in the way of their legs reaching the floorboards so I got rid of mine asap. I bought the HD support bar like the one that comes on the Street Glides...not really worried about messing up the bike if and when I drop it, **** happens if I mess it up I'll get it fixed.
Don't do it, you will regret it someday.
I hadn't dropped a bike in years, but last year did a slow drop while turning left
when a car appeared from nowhere, making me hit the brakes or hit him.
The guards prevented any damage, I was very happy they were there!
