Default Biketronics Help

I have been looking around and have decided to go with a Biketronics stereo for my FLHT (thanks to everyones recommendations). I see there are different levels of systems to buy. Marine radios, upgraded stereos, upgraded speakers, amps, etc. I want good sound at a decent price. Can you help me make an informed decision?

What set up did you go with and why?
How much did it cost?
Are you happy with it?
What would you do differently if you could?
Thanks

I went with the GT 520 setup as well. Came with the retro radio box, Sony Head Unit, and Hog Tunes speakers. Sounds good, but I plan on getting an amp eventually. I like music loud. It runs out of power on anything with a little base when going 60 mph or so. Thats just me. Some people don't crank the tunes as loud as me so they might be satisfied with the regular system. Sound quality is very good compared to stock Harley systems. Was simple to install. Cost around 500 I think. Great customer service as well. I will probably get one of Biketronics plug and play amps.

Purchase directly from Biketronics--why bother with a reseller/vendor?

I purchased the interface and installation kit from Biketronics. You can find the Sony headunit at below retail list and save some $$$; just be sure the Sony model you select is listed as compatible with Biketronics' interface unit that are listed on the website.

I purchased Sony Xplod 5.25", 4-way speakers at Wal-Mart and a GT 510 (older version of GT520) when I did the install a couple of years ago.

Check out the Hawg-wired installation kit. It's a little more expensive, but it's all metal mounting frame and the facia surround of the headunit seems a bit nicer IMO--though it's not enough differenct that I've though about changing mine.

I bought the install kit from Hawg Wired. It's a very nice kit and would do it again in a heartbeat. Here is a pic for you.

I have the Sony GT520 unit from Biketronics. Been caught in a few downpours and had no ill effects. I like it a lot.

wayne is a good guy had a good conversation with him a couple of weeks ago, as far as the arc stuff being far superior,i will agree with you on that for most all other systems on the market.....except mine....if yall love the volume on the arc stuff, just wait until you get a chance to hear my stuff...ill give you more volume and a better sound!!!! That arc amps' not that musical...
