Just returned from my local dealer in Missoula, MT. They had a number of the CVO models on the floor. Never been a fan of the Road Glide, but the new CVO is absolutely stunning, spectacular, drop dead gorgeous! They hit a homerun with this one. It was in the Silver, Gray, Black combination, and that rear fender, stretch bag setup is SICK... The new CVO Fat Bob, and Springer Softail are also pretty stinkin' cool. No CVO Ultra, which is what I wanted to see, and not one '09 Street Glide. Every Ultra is sold before it gets here, and they have 10 deposits on Street Glides with an allocation of 3-4, I think he said. Don't quote me on allotments, but I thought it was interesting how many deposits are down on the RG. Just a little bike envy going on here, and thought I'd share with you folks.
Except they could've done a better job on the stretched bags instead of leaving that gawdy ridge all the way around that looks like the extensions are just velcroed on!!

Amen to that. I saw one in the black and orange scheme & the bags were the only part that turned me off.
I was in the Mt hd yesterday and I agree that silver was about the best stock paint I have seen. I looked at the price and 33,000 with a sold tag. I did not see sold on the other Ultra's but I did not look that close as I kept going back to that sparkling silver paint job.
Saw an SE Ultra while visiting HD of Montgomery, AL this past Monday--it too had a "Sold" tag on it. It was the autumn haze version--not sure if I liked the orange color used, but the paint design is far superior to the SE Ultras of '07 and '08 IMO.

Sounds like this is the SERG you are talking about. I also was impressed with it when I saw it on the local dealer's showroom.
Great looking bike for certain. Question for the current RG owners... Look at the picture and at the gauge clusters. Are they protuding out towards the rider more than in the past. Seems to be sticking out further.
