The part with the teeth is the outside part. It is press onto the inside part which is bolted to the wheel hub. If the inside piece broke then the bolts will still be attached to the wheel. The outside piece, with the teeth pushes onto the inter piece and is cushioned by the rubber bumpers. The part with the teeth is not bolted on, if it were there would be no cushion, it just sits on the rubber bumbers and the axel and nut hold it together.

I know how the thing works. I did the installation on my bike. I think he is saying the inner part of the sprocket itself came apart.

Not trying to argue but that inter part doesn't have the teeth on it.

Not trying to argue either, just trying to understand. The belt has teeth, the sprocket has teeth. They go together. Sounds like he is saying the center of the sprocket fell out. I thought it was a one piece cast part (the sprocket itself, not the whole system) so its kinda strange that the sprocket would come apart.

I've got an IDS that I took off by bike that is in great shape. The MoCo & I came to an agreement, and I had to return bike to stock shape. It has all parts & instructions $175 shipped. I will be listing the parts I took of in the sales forum soon.

SG1 and trock, you are both right, But it was the sprocket that broke on my IDS. I did not communicate it very well. The inside of the sprocket came off, the lip or ring that holds the belt in the center came off just smooth as can be. I have changed my bike back to stock so I can ride while I am waiting on a an IDS sprocket, because of course the dealers do not have one and it will be 10 days to get one. Flashprez, I am interested in your IDS. I am going to ride the bike stock and see how it feels. But I have a feeling I will be putting another IDS on it.

Will post some pics tonight
