I just bought and installed the factory security system and cruise control on my '08 EGC and it won't run so I call the dealer and he says it now needs to be re programmed! Funny the parts guy didn't mention that valuable info. Is there a work around. The salesman told me if I needed to reset things like the electronic throttle ide I could cyle the ignition switch 5 times. That has worked for me before but what about this issue. Anyone got any advice. I guess if I really have to I will just take it all off and go to the dealer. kind off sucks when your an aircraft mechanic and have to get someone else to wrench on your ride!! Thanks. The cost in not much, should only take a couple of minutes. They connect to the comm port and flash the computer on the bike. And it has to be done by the dealer. Been there, done that...

 

You can do the cruise yourself its the security module that needs to be flashed just follow the instructions to do the cruise adj its very straightforward..

 

You can install the "hardware" for the cruise. It has to be flashed at the delaer. If you have an 08 or latter.
